ANTI x FRKO

Freako Rico, also known as FRKO, is an Atlanta-based visual artist known for his unique style mixing comics and hip-hop to create humorous and often bold art. He’s worked on album covers and merch for artists like Action Bronson and Gucci Mane, exhibited his work at galleries and involved in collaborations with brands like Adidas, Reebok, FILA and Red Bull.

An advocate for the “old Atlanta”, he believes in the importance of preserving Black culture and feels a connection to the soulful and funky elements of the city’s past. A skilled comedian known to incorporate social and political commentary into his work, FRKO is particularly critical of gentrification and the ways in which it affects the creation and display of art in public spaces, pushing local artists to the fringes while more well-known artists are given more prominent opportunities. He is also a continuum of black art, striving for authenticity in a changing Atlanta.
